The Halo Spark Plug has a unique configuration. Instead of standard side electrode(s) the plug has a halo type ring that is precisely positioned above the center electrode.

The three legs supporting the upper ring form a tripod that is superior structurally to any other design. Another advantage of the Halo design is a great decrease in a spark plug’s tendency toward point erosion. The nature of the location of the upper ring allows multiple spark firing paths. This eliminates the point erosion (and consequent degradation in performance) evident on standard spark plugs. This will keep the gap consistent and promote long term consistent high performance.
